Torr Road, Penge, SE20

The Torr Road project involved a comprehensive renovation and extension of a Victorian period property in South London. The client wanted to enlarge the existing kitchen space, creating a more open and integrated connection to the living areas.

To address the house’s limited natural light, a full-glazed side-return extension was proposed. This addition would significantly increase daylight penetration into the kitchen and adjacent living spaces.

Additionally, the existing rear bay window was extended vertically with floor-to-ceiling glazing, creating a seamless transition between the kitchen and the exterior garden. This design choice not only improved natural light but also fostered a strong connection to the outdoor environment.

The project is currently under construction and expected completion Q3 of 2024.
