Muswell Hill, London, N10
Muswell Hill is a comprehensive refurbishment of a 5-bedroom period home in Muswell Hill, North London. The project focuses on adapting the existing building with new interiors and layout to align with the client’s lifestyle.
The ground floor has undergone a transformation, seamlessly connecting the living room, a new library, and the kitchen and dining areas. Integrated bespoke joinery was introduced throughout to maintain a series of spaces that feel uncluttered but still practical.
On the upper floors, two existing bedrooms were remodelled into and office and an artist studio, the existing ceilings were opened up to create a cathedral ceiling to advantage of its height resulting in a bright and spacious room with uninterrupted views across Muswell Hill and Alexandra Palace.
The aim of the interior design was to create an overall feel of understated elegance whilst still maintaining a comfortable living environemnt. The materials and colours were carefully selected to provide a sense of calmness and warmth but still providing a rich, tactile feel on close inspection.
